  • How do I know if Psyche Wellness Group is right for me?
    At Psyche Wellness Group, we offer free one-time 20-minute video or telephone consultation where you will have the opportunity to ask any questions about our practice.  We also treat your initial session as a consultation period. Once we have gathered all of the necessary information, you and your provider will decide, if it would be a great fit. Learn more about our psychiatry practice.
  • Which insurance carriers do you accept?
    We are currently contracted with United Healthcare, Cigna, Oscar Health, Oxford & Aetna for our traditional care model option. For those without health insurance we have a cash pay concierge model. Inquire during a free consultation. In addition, you can learn more about us.
  • I do not have insurance do you have a cash pay option?
    We have a concierge model of care for those without health insurance. We accept credit card and cash payments, including payments through your Health Savings Account (HSA). Payment is due in full 1 day prior to your visit. Learn more about our payment plan during your free 20 min consultation.
  • What happens if I need to see a specialist?
    Dr. Gabriel is happy to provide any necessary referrals, so you can see any specialist you prefer. She can help you decide what specialists to see, coordinate the consultations, and send your medical information in advance of your specialist visit.
  • How do I make an appointment?
    All clients must have a consultation first to discuss issues and concerns before an appointment can be made. Click on one of the “Book Consult Now” buttons to schedule your psychiatric consultation. Alternatively, you may call our office at (973) 302- 5290. If we do not answer, leave a voice message with your name and number and the requested appointment date and time. Established patients can also visit our secure online patient portal at any time of the day or night to request an appointment, message our team, and much more.
  • How are services provided?
    Psyche Wellness Group offers comprehensive psychiatry services, through HIPPA- a compliant telemedicine platform, from the comfort of your home. The link to your video call will arrive by text and or e-mail before your appointment time. Just click long in and your session will begin. Your treatment with the Psyche Wellness Group will begin with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation which may be performed in 1 or 2 visits to ensure that we are the right fit.  We also offer individual therapy (offered with or without medication management), which occurs once a week or every other week.  *In some cases, if you cannot be seen in person or prefer not to travel for your appointment, we may ask that you buy or borrow a scale or blood pressure machine in order to monitor your general health when starting a new medication. For an additional fee, Psyche Wellness Group can recommend a particular device and have it mailed directly to your home address!
  • What if I want to see my provider in person?
    You deserve comprehensive care from the comfort of home, but there may be times when you prefer a face-to-face visit, or when your provider believes that an in-person visit is indicated. Face-to-face visits occur in New Jersey in the Essex & Union County areas. With advanced notice and for an additional cost, we offer house calls at an agreed-upon location. These must be scheduled 48 hours before your scheduled visit.
  • Do you precept students in psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner programs?
    We provide students the opportunity to complete clinical hours for psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner programs. Our program is structured to give you comprehensive training that will allow you to confidently assess, diagnose and treat various psychiatric conditions. At the end of your clinical hours- a recommendation will be provided outlining your experience at the practice and the impact you have on the patients you see. As part of the preceptorship - you will be required to work on a small project which will serve as a learning opportunity. Visit our mentorship page to learn more.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    We strive to make ourselves available to patients when they need us. This means that appointments must be canceled with enough time for another patient to be scheduled. Please be sure to cancel your appointment one full business day (or 24 business hours) prior to the start of your appointment time. If the appointment is not canceled on time, your credit card will automatically be charged for the full amount of the missed session.
